Biography —
Adis Liy, M.S. Ed., is a Research Coordinator at Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute. She has more than 20 years in early childhood education and the educational and research arena.
Through her years at FPG, Ms. Liy has served as the Research Coordinator for the Child Care Choices Among Low-Income Working Families: A Study of Latino Families in the New South, and The Nuestros Niños Program: Promoting School Readiness for the English Language. Before rejoining UNC, she served as a Research Coordinator with HighScope Educational Research Foundation with the Center for Early Education Research and Evaluation, participating in Infant & Toddler Research, Race, Equity & Bias Research and Evaluation. She also served as an Early Intervention Coordinator with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. Additionally, Ms. Liy implemented The Early Childhood Education Bilingual Program and served as the program coordinator and an instructor at Wake Tech Community College. Adis’ engagement in projects extends to focusing on quality and equity in early care and education of children from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
